Are all vehicles required to have an MOT?
MOT tests are required annually for vehicles that are over 3 years old to ensure that their road-worthiness and exhaust emissions are up to the minimum legal standard. A valid MOT certificate is required in order to drive your vehicle legally, and also so that you can renew your road tax licence.
What does the MOT test involve?
The MOT test covers your vehicle's lighting, braking, tyres, steering, seat belts, exhaust emission as well as your vehicle's bodywork and overall structural integrity.
How long does the MOT test take?
Your MOT test is usually completed in about an hour.
